"Kanon and Clannad" Scenario Writer Jun Maeda Hospitalized

Jun Maeda, a 41-year old scenario writer and co-founder for the visual novel brand Key under Visual Art has been hospitalized for a disease not yet disclosed. He tweeted on the 28th about his hospitalization reporting that he has high hopes of getting better so he can return to his work soon.

Translation: "I am going to be hospitalized from now. In order to return in good health, I'll have medical treatment."

Maeda is known mostly for his work writing scenarios under the brand Key for works including Air, Clannad, Kanon, and Little Busters! His writing themes mostly focus on family bonds, and keeping those bonds strong, clearly shown mostly in the paternal bonds in Air and Clannad, followed by his other recurring theme in magical realism, shown in the previously mentioned and including the more recent work of Charlotte. Not only does he write scenarios, but Maeda is also very skilled in writing/composting music and lyrics. One of his most notable works is the ending to Clannad that is a generally a widely known song even outside of viewers of the anime for it's lightheartedness and catchy tune. Currently his involvement in any works right now are unknown, but many look forward to Key's upcoming summer anime Rewrite.
