Morning Chat: Patience vs Excitement

I recently, and by recently, I mean a five weeks ago, ordered two light sabers for me and my co-writer Zachary Hordyinski from Saberforge. This post is by no means about complaints about saberforge, because their ordering process was great, and that was the only thing I have experienced from them so far. This is the first time I've ordered something with an 8-week lead-time, and it's KILLER! I know for sure, the second I have that light saber in my hand I'm going to look like an imitation of one of those pre-teens swinging their brooms around on You-tube, and my patience is trying so hard to fight my excitement. Waiting will be hard, but in the future I'm going to have to learn some way to fight the excitement and be patient. In what ways do you keep yourself calmed down before you get something you ordered? I'd love to hear your guys' ideas and experiences and maybe try them out myself!
